Unions Otago Forum

Unlike Christchurch and Wellington where the local CTU has shamefully excluded trade unionists running for the Alliance from debates in favour of ACT Party candidates (pure genius!), in Dunedin the Alliance has always been welcome to speak at CTU forums.

I believe I will be the only trade unionist candidate addressing the meeting, as I work for the Maritime Union.

Tuesday 7 October at 7pm at the Burns Hall, First Church – see you there!

Success! Victor is on the panel for education debate

with one comment

I received a phone call this afternoon from NZUSA co-president Liz Hawes who gave me a formal invitation to join the panel at this Friday’s education debate (3pm at the Dunedin Teacher’s Column Auditorium).

I have accepted with thanks and look forward to speaking at the debate for free education for all.

Thanks also to OPSA who earlier offered to take me along as an official guest.

And they’re off . . .

The phoney war is over and the 2008 election campaign is on.

Once again, I’m running for Dunedin North for the Alliance Party. In 2005 I kept a blog (archived here) and it was a lot of fun, so I’m doing it again at this new blog.

Whether you agree or disagree with me, I hope you find something of interest here.
