Only Forty Miles to Saturday Night

All Dunedin Alliance supporters and friends are invited to an election night get together at “Mojos” in Leith Street just off Albany St, from 6pm – midnight on Saturday 8 November election night.

We have not organized our own Alliance event this election – and instead are joining forces in a one off election night coalition get together on election night . . .

The International Socialists at Otago University have kindly organized this election night event at Mojo’s, on Leith Street just off Albany St (the old Orange Hall I believe). The invite is open to all on the left and friends.

“There will be talks, music, and discussion continuing all night. We’ll have full TV and internet coverage, an open mike and music. Bring a plate and some cash to donate for drinks and you can be sure of a fun night, no matter how the vote goes.”

Speakers include veteran activist and political scientist Brian Roper, Alliance Party Dunedin North candidate Victor Billot and OUSA exec member Cory Anderson.

Olivier Jutel, radio host of ‘the revolution will not be televised’ (91fm, 9am-11am Saturdays) will speak on the significance of Obama’s victory in the US election.

Kids are more than welcome and there will be a child-friendly area.

See you on election night! Please bring along any friends or family if you wish.

Two contact numbers for the night:
Victor Billot (Alliance) 021482219
Kevin Hodder (International Socialists who are organizing the event) 0274809936
